5 - PROGRAM / SERVICE / ACTIVITY PURPOSES
The general aim of the Adult educational Centres is the general development of each adult’s personality as well as the social, financial and cultural development of citizens and society in general.
The acquisition of dietary consciousness directly affects health on general. More specific a person with a balanced and healthy caloric intake is more likely to be mentally and physically healthy. An old Greek saying describes the direct relation of body and mind health. Ancient Greeks used to say that a healthy mind is in a healthy body, stressing the relationship between the two.

8 - PROGRAM / SERVICE / ACTIVITY SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The program was included in the Adult Centres in order to provide Nutritional consciousness to adult people. A healthy body is closely connected to a healthy mind and this is the principle that we follow in these sessions,
The nutritionist stresses out topics via short presentations and pays great attention on food caloric value, the role of each food and categories of foods.
Participants learn how to organize their own healthy meal according to dietary intake allowances and be aware of what is good or bad for the organism and why.
