5 - PROGRAM / SERVICE / ACTIVITY PURPOSES
The Center offers breathing workshops, Yoga and meditation for self-development, calmness, reducing tension, adaptation to the modern lifestyle, and spiritual enrichment. The goal is to enable every person of every age to benefit from the advantages of the breathing technique and from meditation, to increase awareness of humanitarian values, and to encourage people from different backgronds and cultures to work in harmony.

The courses have 10-15 participants, and include workshops for beginners and advanced students of various levels. The methodologies vary according to the type of course. Some courses entail knowledge that includes instruction and imparting knowledge in study groups by expert lecturers and instructors. Sessions are also held to practice the material, given by professional trainers in order to translate the knowledge into practice, and for personal drill. Learning in small groups facilitates individual work with each participant, and professional accompaniment in the developmental process of each of them. In addition, practice and drill sessions with mass participation are held for large groups of tens of partakers, in order to raise awareness of the importance of practicing and studying these subjects for everyone, and to encourage their attendance of workshops.

The organization runs education centers and offers workshops in more than 152 countries around the world. This is one of the largest voluntary organizations globally, with more than 300 million people having been influenced by its work. The workshops allow people of all ages to adapt breathing, relaxation, balance and calmness techniques for themselves so that they can live in a more healthy fashion in modern society. The program in Israel is also intended to encourage coexistence between Israelis and Arabs through the Break your Wall program, shattering the barriers between people using art of Living methods.

The course, "The Art of Breathing" is the most basic course offered by the organization and provides tools that lead to inner calm, realization of personal attributes, and spiritual growth. The combination of Yoga and meditation affects the body and the soul as one, with Yoga practiced using the body, and meditation using the mind. This technique helps the participants to attain inner harmony, balance, and relaxation from tension and from emotional blockages. The course includes:  Practical knowledge for managing the challenges of daily life  A unique, powerful breathing technique  Additional powerful breathing techniques for daily use  Relaxation and relief exercises  The courses are held once a week, each lasting 4-5 hours  There is no need for previous experience, and the method is simple, easy and suitable for everyone
