5 - PROGRAM / SERVICE / ACTIVITY PURPOSES
The program aims to improve memory and to develop and maintain mental ability with an emphasis on improving different types of memory whether visual or numerical, memory for faces, improving attention and concentration, visual spatial perception, data processing and taking decisions

The program is conducted in small groups Training uses unique computer software and cognitive games with the instruction and guidance of professional guides Cognitive evaluation of the trainees will be offered at the start and the conclusion of the workshop. Progress during the workshop is personal, adapted to the trainee's ability. Assignments for home practice of the cognitive skills with an emphasis on improving memory The sessions also include enrichment reviews of relevant subjects regarding cognition and cognitive training At the conclusion of the workshop the participants are offered a variety of tools for further cognitive training and dealing with problems of memory

8 - PROGRAM / SERVICE / ACTIVITY SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The workshops include current, relevant, practical knowledge regarding brain sciences, together with simple frontal lectures. Strategic cognitive games are integrated in the workshops, with experiential practice of brain exercises using diverse computer programs developed by cognition researchers. Each participant has the possibility of receiving a personal training program, in order to practice improving memory and avoid cognitive regression. With age, such regression negatively affects the quality of life and the quality of social interaction. The leading principle is, "Use it or lose it".

Research on the plasticity of the brain indicate that an adult brain isflexible and adaptive at any age, and can continue to adapt and improve cognitive functioning throughout life.
